TLS, 1966 March 5 : New York, to Milton Larkin.

Hughes thanks Larkin for "your most interesting note, and thanks very much for the nice things you say about 'Negro Humor'". He speaks of a TV show in which "Harry Belafonte's intent was to show another side of Harlem, mainly the entertainment side in the 1920's--in contrast to the seamy side which has been really over-presented in recent years". He goes on to say how hard-working and decent most residents of Harlem were.
